How to Install Trepanel Customise® Shelves
Trepanel Customise® shelves are the perfect addition to your wood slat wall, combining sleek design with practical storage. You will need:
- Allen Key (provided)
- Anchor pieces (provided)
- Shelf
- Thumbscrews
- Spirit level

1 – Placement
First, decide where you want to place your Trepanel Customise® shelf. Don’t worry too much about picking the perfect spot the first time, as they can be easily removed and installed somewhere else if you change your mind!
When you have chosen where you want your shelf to go, you will need your Allen key and silver anchor pieces.
2 – Installing the Anchor Pieces
To install the silver anchor pieces, simply place them in between the slats, where you want your shelf to go, and twist it in with the Allen key, so that the two longer pieces sit behind the MDF slats, and the pin is securely inserted into the felt backing.
Use a spirit level to ensure your second or third anchor pieces are straight.
3 – Fitting the Shelf
Place your shelf against your Trepanel® wood panel wall, aligning the holes in the top of the shelf with the silver anchor pieces you previously installed.
Take your thumbscrew and simply screw it through the holes in the shelves and into the silver anchor piece. Repeat on the other side.
It’s really that easy!
4 – Style!
Style your shelf with your chosen items. Our smaller 359mm shelves can hold up to 5kg of weight, our medium 519mm shelves can hold up to 15kg of weight and our larger 759mm shelves can hold up to 25kg of weight!

- Raw plug (provided)
- Your chosen Trepanel Customise® Accessory
- Appropriate amount of Trepanel Customise® long screws
- Pencil
- Stud/wire detector
- Spirit level
1 – Placement
First, you need to decide where you want to place your Trepanel Customise® Accessories.
To do this, use a stud/wire detector to locate any wires in the wall, ensuring you stay away from these so you don’t drill into them.
Mark on the wall with a pencil where you’d like your accessory to go, ensuring you use a spirit level where necessary.
When using our longer screws, this doesn’t have to be on a Trepanel® wood slat wall surface, as the screws drive directly into the wall. (You can even use them with Trepanel Aqua®!)
2 – Drill Your Holes
You now need to drill your holes into the wall, so they align with the placement you have decided.
Our long screws come with a secure raw plug, which we strongly recommend using as part of this installation.
3 – Attach your Accessory
Place your chosen Trepanel Customise® Accessory over the holes in your wall, and screw the Trepanel Customise® long screws into the holes. As you screw these in, their component will expand and grip into the raw plug.
Be sure to use a silicone sealant to seal around any holes if you plan to install them in bathrooms.
